Turkey's former prime minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, said that current events in Syria clearly show that some circles want to divide this state and cannot afford to implement Turkish Middle East integration policies.

Davutoglu participated in the gathering organised by the Association for the promotion of friendship, education and culture in Samsun, and on this occasion commented on the current situation in Syria.

Stressing that Turkey has never had a problem with Syria's Kurds, the former Turkish prime minister said that not even the current military operation “Dega of Ullyr” in Africa is directed against Kurds, but against terrorists.

He recalled that members of Kurdish tribes from Syria 100 years ago were an integral part of the Ottoman Army.

The Syrian Kurdish “are our brothers, but it is clear that the purpose of those who want to strengthen the YPG terrorist organisation is to use it for disputes between the Turkish and Syrian people. Their aim is to weaken Turkey and break its” wings, Davutoglu said.

Davutoglu also added that Turkey has written a major historic event with the opening of doors and care of millions of Syrian refugees.

Be convinced that what Turkey has done for Syrian refugees will not be forgotten for a thousand years”.
