Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, during the pre-pass of the Kosovo Security Forces in honour of the country's 10th anniversary of Independence, has promised that the state of Kosovo will do it with the army as soon as possible.
In the same line with the president is the Government of Kosovo, which in a response to the newspaper “Voice”, has stated that forming the army is one of the top priorities of the Government of Kosovo and that it is committed to this happening as soon as possible.
While the head of the Parliamentary Commission for Internal Affairs, Haxhi Shala, has announced to the newspaper “Voice” that in May of this year the constitutional changes to the formation of the Kosovo Army begin. He hopes such changes will also be supported by the Serbian List.
Even international officials are determined that converting the KSF to the FAK should be done only through constitutional changes, and without such changes there can be no formation of the military.
At the Ministry of the Kosovo Security Force have declared to the newspaper “Voice” that the KSF is ready for transformation, but that they are only waiting for a political decision to do so.
