A large part of the ice fell from the sky on Kaw, London, Wednesday morning, erupting on a street and sending ice and snow signs to two shocked passersby.
When I saw the images, I was shocked to see that it was the size of a stone”, said Moss Sayed, the director of a company near taxis, whose security camera caught the incident in the video.
It is believed that the ice fragment may have fallen from a passing aircraft over the city, although these reports have not been confirmed.
Kew, however, is located directly under a flight route from London's Heathrow Airport.
The incident, which took place around 9: 00 a.m., has further prompted a local adviser to push for an investigation.
The Telegraph also noted that the planes were previously blamed for similar incidents, including an ice piece that left a <x0krater” in one Scottish town and another that damaged a roof in the town of Windsor.
