The chairman and members of the Central Election Commission (KQZ) are currently without mandate, while the country's President Hashim Thaci has yet to take no step in appointing new CEC members.
Under the Law for Elections, the appointment of new members of the CEC has had to take place later in September, but because the country was entering the local election process, President Hashim Thaci had continued the mandate for 90 days since the ratification of parliamentary election results.
However, the appointment of new CEC members has not been made, while no reasons are known.
Journal “Sound” requested clarification from the President's office, but has not received answers.
Based on results of June 11th elections, coalition The PDK-AAK-Nisma (PAN) should have two representatives in the CEC, as if even “vendosje” and the LDK-AKR-Alternative coalition should have two representatives.
But “sourcesAudio” suggests President Thaci has long been planning to address the Constitutional Court to clarify whether the coalition PAN should have only two representatives, or if after the formation of the AAK Parliamentary Group and the initiative one should have the PDK, AAK and the initiative tou divide from one place in the CEC
