Six arrested for 21 serious thefts in Decan

Kosovo police in Decani have arrested six persons for burglary in the home, residence and shops of this city. The police station's investigation unit in Decani, in collaboration with the other entities and in collaboration with Decani citizens, during an operational investigation effort, has managed to identify and arrest a group [...]

The police station's investigation unit in Decani, in collaboration with other entities and in co-operation with Decani citizens, during an operational investigation work, has managed to identify and arrest a group of suspected persons who in co-operation committed several thefts across Decani's territory, criminal acts committed in 2016/2017 and earlier.

These criminal acts, mainly serious thefts and burglary occurred at home, residences and business stores of the citizens of Decani in the district, broadcast Koha.net.

The suspected persons who were arrested and prosecuted further on these cases are:

L. B. (male, 21 years old),

Q. K. (male 18 years old)

I. J. (male, 23 years old),

L. M. (male, 23 years old),

E. J. (male, 22 years old),

E. V. (male, 21) and four other individuals suspected of buying goods stolen from suspects.

There have been a total of 21 reported cases of these allegedly performed by this group of people.

During the investigation and proceedings of these cases, stolen items that have occurred in several schools, which have been seized, several laptops, designers and other equipment, have been found that have been returned to owners and schools in question.

Also, other illegal vehicles, automatic weapons, weapons and surveillance ammunition, and air rifles have been seized by suspects.

Kosovo police thank the citizens of this area who co-operated and helped the police without hesitation in reporting negative criminal phenomena within our society, as only in this way can and should create a safe and secure environment for all citizens in the municipality of Decani and the area in general. Therefore, we call on all citizens to co-operate in the future with the Kosovo State Police.
