This, after the editor has accepted threats from Andrea Vuciq, brother of Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq.
He requires that this documentary not appear with authentic stories.
In a phone interview for RTV Dukagjin, Sasa Mirkovovic, said he feels threatened, as several witnesses also mention Andrea Vuciqi's name as the lawyer for Ivanovic's murder.
I've been in touch with Andrea Vucicicic for a long time the only thing that keeps him from getting in the way is that I'm the editor of the newspaper Rikoshe. I, along with other journalists, are dealing with the murder of Oliver Ivanov, and based on the witnesses taken from us, are mentioning his name [Andrea] as one of the tasklors for the murder of Oliver”, declares for RTV Dukagjin, Sasa Mirkovic.
Witnesses have told reporters of “Rikose” that Andrea has been a regular guest in Kosovo, invited by Milan Rajdojkiqi, and that is why his name has been linked to Oliver's murder.
Andrea Vuciqi has filed charges against the journalist, demanding that he cancel the documentary's performance, which is being discussed in Oliver Ivanovic's murder.
“I have also had threats from President Aleksandar Vuciqi himself. I have wanted to present the case to justice bodies, but courts in Serbia do not function properly, placing dictatorship on courts. No judge dares deal with any substance pertaining to Aleksandar Vuciqi. I have filed charges at the Mitrovica Court, but it has been dismissed without any evidence, because that is how the Serbian head of state's cabinet” has been ordered, Mirkovic said.
The journalist says that despite the demand for protection, he has not been taken into account.
No one's taken us into protection. We have exposed you to various dangers and no one is interested in our safety. There's nothing left but to kill us. We'll continue to work on this documentary, I know it's going to be difficult, but we'll work, especially in authentic stories, even though Wuchiqi keeps urging us not to talk to us. Mafia structures in the north are led by Andrea Vuciqi, the president's brother, along with Bratislav Gashiq, Nebojsa Stefanov and others”, Mirkovic added.
Following Aleksandar Vuciqi's coming to power and his support for the Serbian List, Oliver Ivanovic openly stated in public that he opposes Belgrade's policy, claiming the situation in the country's north had deteriorated and that criminal structures related to politics were terrorising residents.
The situation has changed for the worse is extraordinary to stay in danger and fear in the people. Of the hundreds of people I've talked to when I freed none of them left without mentioning the feeling of fear they're not afraid of Albanians, but of Serbs. From criminals walking around in unscathed jeeps. Drugs are sold everywhere. Each parent suffers from this evidence”, Oliver Ivanovic had declared.
Civic Initiative leader “Serbia, Democracy and Justice”, Oliver Ivanovic was killed on 16 January. He was convicted of killing Albanians during 1999.
