Trump accepts Erdogan invitation, soon visits Turkey

Turkish officials have said United States President Donald Trump has accepted Turkey's President Recep Tayip Erdogan's invitation to visit Turkey.

Turkish presidency spokesman Ibrahim Kalin has told reporters that President Trump wants to hold the visit during 2019, but a concrete date has not been set yet.

Kalin has said the Turkish president made the invitation during the two presidents' telephone conversation, where the withdrawal of American troops from Syria was discussed.

President Trump announced via Twitter Sunday that there has been a long and productive “conversation with Erdogan in which they discussed the slow and well-coordinated “of military personnel from Syria, reports the report. /Periscopi
