A new survey states that workers who are offered the option of flexible work are influencing them to benefit United Kingdom businesses by taking less rest and doing more productive work.
The poll has compared the productivity of 1,500 workers who have set their own schedule or location of work to 500 others who have not had that option.
The flexible workers had been polled and had reported doing more efficient work during a normal work day than during a job that has regular hours between 9:00 and 5:00.
45% of these workers had said they would have hesitated to leave the workplace for a new job that does not offer them the same flexibility.
Experts say working on time and flexible locations brings many benefits to workers and employers.
“in this connected world, all people need to work for is a laptop and a stable Internet connection both can be found in many other countries and not just in the work environment”, says Olivia Hill, the leading of this study.
It also highlights the fact that employers are becoming more inclined to allow workers to have flexible time and location, assuming that as long as the job is done, it doesn't matter where or when it happens.
The most important thing is the high level of productivity.
