The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, has been hosting the Kosovo Negotiator Team leaders Fatmir Limaj and Shpend Ahmeti today.
According to the Presidency's media report, Thaci has talked with the leaders of the Negotiator Team “for the latest phase of dialogue for normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, relieved by the European Union and strongly supported by the United States of America”.
“President Thaci and Kosovo Negotiators have also talked about the necessity of continuing co-ordination along the negotiation process and of exploiting the moment for reaching a comprehensive and legally binding final agreement, which Kosovo must provide recognition from Serbia and membership in the UN, NATO and EU”, the Presidency's announcement said.
This momentum must be exploited and it needs to strengthen political unity and speak in a voice about Kosovo. This was also President Trump's clear request for Kosovo leadership, which we should respect, because it is in full compliance with our state interest”, it is further said. /Periscopi
