“With Haradinaj raised concerns about the plan to transform the Kosovo Security Force into an army. I stressed that such an act is inappropriate and contrary to the advice of many NATO allies and could have consequences on Kosovo's prospects for Euro-Atlantic integration. I reiterated that the KSF's mandate should evolve and that NATO should review the level of co-operation with the Kosovo Security Force”, NATO report said.
I also spoke with Vucinqi about the need to reduce current tensions. I reminded them both that the mediated EU dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina remains the only way to bring lasting peace and stability to the region. NATO remains committed to Kosovo's security and stability through KFOR peacekeeping mission”, the report said.
