Numerous political-social developments in Kosovo, intensity, potentially, are expected to add those related to the work of the Special Court.
Chief of the Office for Juridical Protection for potential indictees by the Special Court, Driton Lajci, has warned a difficult year for the country.
In addition to the work of the Special Court, at the table organised by the Group for Jury and Political Studies, Lajci made such a warning, citing other processes the country is going through, KTV reports.
According to Penal Law Professor Ismet Salihu, the largest number of subjects to be handled by the Specialised Chambers will be the crimes allegedly committed after the country's liberation in 1999.
Avni Puka said that the Special has broader powers than The Hague Tribunal and, according to him, the challenge remains respect for human rights.
So far, two people have been interviewed by specialised prosecutorial investigators, while the invitation has taken at least 6 people, including Rrustem Mustafa, Sami Lushtaku, Nazif Mehmeti and Sokol Dobruna.
