Serbian analyst: EU Square for Serbia without recognising Kosovo

Serbian political and military affairs journalist and analyst Miroslav Lazanski, analyzing US President Donald Trump's letter to Serbia President Aleksandar Vuciq and Kosovo's Hashim Thaci, said it contains nothing extraordinary. He has said Serbia cannot enter the EU without Kosovo recognition. Lazanski [...]
Lazanski for Serbian media stressed that the US “president in his letter requires reconciliation, progress for the future of Serbs and Albanians, but it is not clear what agreement should be reached”. “If we assume that this means that Kosovo's north belongs to Serbia and that the Serb enclaves south of the Iber River are part of the Serb Communist Community, and that all Serbian cultural and religious objects are under international protection, if that's what it is considered to be, will the Albanian side accept it?”, Lazanski asked, Kalgrapho forward.
He says that “Pristina does not want to exchange territories, but only the unification of the Presevo Valley, plus Albania, which is equivalent to the Great Albanian”.
Lazanski agrees that he is not sure that Trump has been notified by all shades, “since Serbs and Albanians for the US are not equal partners, because the United States has recognised Kosovo's territorial integrity, which means they do not automatically recognise Serbia's territorial integrity”.
“Compromis for Kosovo should not be just a community of Serbian municipalities. As far as I know, Washington doesn't offer more than this”, Lazanski said.
He said Serbs continue to speak of international law, UN Resolution 1244 and diplomacy, even though international law does not exist, and this resolution [1244] is a mockery and exists only in Serbian perception of Kosovo.
“The West has strongly ignored the destructive power of the Kosovo status issue, while Serbia continues to shame it despite democratic changes. The West and the US are demanding that Serbia kneel and carry out euthanasia”, Lazanski said.
He stressed that he would never be able to fully understand and what had caused all the hostility of the West towards Serbia and Serbs in the early nine years.
“Only one thing I know for sure, Serbia cannot enter the EU without clear recognition of Kosovo. Everything else is our” illusion, Lazanski said.
