Koha Ditore reporter Saranda Ramaj has confessed what happened to him at the court hearing in the case known as “People's Eye” when President Hashim Thaci witnessed, as well as being held for six hours at the Police Station.
In a Facebook post she wrote:
After about six hours of detention by Kosovo police a few minutes ago, I was released. The reason for the stop was the pretext I have illegally recorded President Hashim Thaci's statement at the “People's Office trial session”.
First after the judge's announcement that he cannot record séca, in front of everyone I have asked her to show us the written agreement because the Code of Criminal Procedure requires that we stop recording only when the court takes written action on such a matter based on four circumstances that you're looking at. KPP.
I have estimated that there is neither a written agreement nor the circumstances have been fulfilled, but the judge has declared that we can nevertheless use the president's statements in the text. I can't quote someone without proof that I quoted him correctly. That's why I recorded the president's voice so that everything he said in court might be reflected in the newspaper. If the president eventually disputed that I didn't quote the burden of evidence correctly, it would play me as a journalist.
For this my <x0 criminalally serious” Kosovo Police officials have held me for about six hours at the station. I DON't deny that I recorded the senate, because I've done it and I'm willing to answer the case. But the paradox of this long day was “the rigging of my phone, without consulting the prosecutor, or the court some policemen who later realized that they were defense officials close to President Thaci and that they had no information either from the police or the Prosecutor or the Court.
Contrary to the Code of Criminal Procedure, my phone has been maintained for several hours by Mr Thaci's immediate defence. When the case was prosecuted at station 4, I initially refused to declare myself to the investigators with the reasoning that I am in the investigation for a case where this police official was involved and that this official was involved in the nonprocedure of the son of AKI whose author the text I am.
Around the 21st in the police have counted that, however, before the police stopped at those few seconds from the trial hall in the police room, while the reactor barrel has been recording the same I haven't kept. After that, my phone came back and I was released after six hours.
“My <x1nd) war today has not been to deny that I recorded because I've broken up with the belief that the president cannot be housed. But my battle has been to protect my sources, informants, public officials with whom I can communicate. PWAY. I've been panicking just because I talk to a lot of people, I've had it and I owe it to protect their identity even if I can end up in jail myself.
I'm still possessed by today's play, the next few days all that I said was going to be processed differently.
Thank you all for your care, especially Director Flaka Surroi and lawyer Arian Koci.
