A new disease has emerged among American and Canadian diplomats who have been sent to Cuba.
The brain - touching disease has recently appeared at a Canadian diplomat in Havana, bringing the number of diplomats with this disease to 13.
According to a senior Canadian government official, a review of Canada's diplomatic presence in Cuba has begun.
He stated: “The results of medical tests show that the employee has been affected by unusual health symptoms. Symptoms are the same as those previously experienced by diplomatic staff in Cuba. ”
American and Canadian authorities had initially suspected an attack with a type of acoustic weapon that led to tensions between Washington and Havana. But from the Canadian capital, this was later said to be “impossible”.
American doctors and officials have said it is a new “type of possible brain damage”. This conclusion came from health experts at the University of Pennsylvania after they discussed 21 American diplomats who had similar symptoms.
In April 2018, the families of Canadian diplomats stationed in Havana were ordered to return home as a precaution. Symptoms of the disease include dizziness, fatigue, headaches, hearing complications, loss of balance and concentration disabilities.
