For involvement in the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, where four people -- including the deputy leader of the Republika Srpska List -- Milan Radojcic, the Special Prosecutor has questioned 40 witnesses. That's confirmed for Express, special prosecutor of the case, Silas Hoxha. Today, the court has decided to continue detention for three, and Radojciqi is still wanted by police
From November 23rd to today, Nedeljko Spasojevici, Marko Rosiqi and Dragisa Markoviqi are in custody because they are suspected of having links to the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, which occurred in January last year.
This arrangement continued until December 23, about six days later. In this case, defence lawyers reported having been interviewed by 40 witnesses. But questioning 40 witnesses for the murder of Oliver Ivanovic has confirmed for Express and Special Prosecutor Syla Hoxha.
“Yes, 40 witnesses have been questioned”, he said through a telephone conversation.
But for these 40 witnesses today, lawyers claimed they knew nothing, neither who they are, nor what they said, nor what they were.
The Express newspaper has stayed in court today to await the court's verdict. And immediately after the hearing ended, which was closed to the public and the media, three defendants' defence lawyers were also promoted to the media outside the court's facility.
The accused's lawyers said that even at the previous hearing, when the prosecution sought detention, it was deemed shameful.
The only thing I can say today is that the Special Prosecutor's conduct really is a disgrace to justice”, he said.
Lawyers said the special prosecutor, who in this case is Silla Hoxha, the same request for detention, repeated it today, even though this request originally the Court of Appeals had said was not all-powerful.
They neither fulfilled their request nor acted on the order made by the Court of Appeals, the special prosecutor here orally fulfilled his request, and remained in the old one, for which Apel himself said it is not all-powerful”, they said.
According to them, the conclusion is this: “There is evidence, and they are held in direct custody, which the Court of Appeals confirmed with its ruling. He also requested new, concrete evidence that we did not see today”
The three suspects -- Nedeljko Spasojeviqi, Marko Rosiqi and Dragisa Markoviqi -- are being charged by the Kosovo Special Prosecutor -- that relate to the murder case of Serbian politician Oliver Ivanoviqi, which occurred on January 16th of this year.
The measure was scheduled for them last month, during the duration of 30 days, but the Court of Appeals, acting on defenders' complaints, has demanded that the Foundation reconsider the prosecution's request once more.
Last month, Kosovo Police in an action in northern Mitrovica had arrested three people under suspicion that they are involved in the murder of the former Serbian politician in Kosovo, which had occurred in January this year.
For the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, according to the Kosovo Police and Prosecutorial, is also suspected of Serbian List Deputy Chairman Milan Radojicic, who is still on the run, reports Express.
