Women waiting until the age of 26 to marry have a greater chance of a long-lived marriage.
Those who for the first time married much younger, about 45 years of age, are likely to divorce. At least that's what prestigious statistics “Time” say.
According to Labour Record data, the largest number of divorces are among women who are married about 15-20 years old. The data was analyzed by sociologist at Maryland University Philip Cohen. On average, these marriages, also called “starting marriages” last from one to 10 years.
Another 2015 study said that the ideal age for people to have a long and successful marriage is between 28 and 32 years old.
The magazine “Time” has researched marriages in a published history of how marriage has changed as an institution, including recent studies on how to increase the chances of a stable marriage and why.
The magazine has even published a chart for the trend of long - term marriages.
