The 29-year-old went to Red Days from Turin in 2015, but he struggled to prove himself at Old Tuffford, especially under the direction of Jose Mourinho.
He's made only three performances so far at Premier League, versus eight of those that last season had. Portuguese coach prefers Antonio Vallencia and Ashley Young to Periscope.
