Regional police spokesman in Mitrovica Avni Zahi has confirmed the news.
“Axident took place around 7:30 on the street “Selmon Vojvoda” in Mitrovica, where there were two civilian cars involved, three persons were injured, two of them in the quality of pedestrians who were sent to QKUK”, Zahidi has declared.
According to police, one person has been detained over this accident.
“Around 13:00, by QKUK, it has been reported that the legmate about 57 years old passed away, the lifeless body has been sent to exhibit, while the accident's cause suspect has been assigned police ban measure”, Zahit has declared further.
For 11 months in Kosovo, traffic accidents have killed 107 people, and many others have been injured. It is estimated that proper underage from responsible institutions is one of the factors that have contributed to the increase in fatal accidents
Ten people have lost their lives during the past month (November) alone in various traffic accidents in the country. While between January and October 97 people have lost their lives in such accidents in Kosovo.
