Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said that once the Kosovo Army is formed, the country would apply for NATO membership, even though the latter clearly expressed itself against this initiative just a few days ago.
“After the December 14th law vote, we will do what any other country that has an army does, is joined in NATO, as did Albania”, Haradinaj said. Mr. Stoltenberg's statement was not exactly against the formation of the Army, but some NATO countries have voiced opposition, because inside NATO has several approaches”, he said in an interview for TVA2.
Haradinaj is even convinced that Kosovo will become a part of the military Alliance sooner than political ones. “We will enter NATO sooner than we do in the European Union. We have also done our tasks for visa liberalisation. But the other side seems not”.
