At least that's what research is said by the British recruiting agency Aaron Wallis Sales Recruitment, which has examined the magazine's list of the 100 richest people in the world to find out what they studied, what was their first job, and how rich they have become.
The report has found that 75 of the world's 100 richest persons have a school degree, while 22 of these 75 have studied engineering.
53 out of the 100 richest people had also started working in a non-family business, where 19% had worked in the role of the sales agent and 17% had started as stock trading.
At the same time, 17 of the top 100 billionaires in the world had begun their career by creating their own business.
These are the five most common university directions selected by billionaires:
1: Engineer ʹ 22 of the world's 100 richest billionaires have a degree in this field
2: Business: 16 out of the world's 100 richest billionaires have degrees in this field
3: Finance and Economy 11 of the world's 100 richest billionaires have a degree in this field
4: Justice 6 out of the world's 100 richest billionaires have a degree in this field
5: Computer science 4 out of the world's 100 richest billionaires have degrees in this field
And these are the first five jobs the billionaires did before they became who they are today:
1: Sale Agent 10 of the world's top 100 richest billionaires have had a profession as their first job.
2: Stock dealer 9 of the world's top 100 richest billionaires had a profession as their first job.
3: Software developers 5 out of the top 100 richest billionaires in the world have had a profession as their first job.
4: Engineering 5 out of the world's top 100 richest billionaires have had a profession as their first job
5: Analyst 4 of the world's top 100 richest billionaires have had a profession as their first job.
