This could cost you NATO and EU membership”, the Bulgarian official stressed, commenting on a statement a week ago by Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev that the “Prespa Agreement confirms the existence of the Macedonian language and that no one will ever again have the right to counter this”.
Bulgarian Defence Minister has said the Macedonian language does not exist and will not allow anyone to secretly apply such a language.
In a Facebook post, Karakacanov wrote that the Macedonian <x0-earths are Bulgarian, which is a historical fact so it will not allow compromises with Bulgaria's history”.
North Macedonia's “is a geographical appointment that includes territories of the Republic of Bulgaria. Zaev could want a similar Bulgarian dialect tomorrow to be taught as an official foreign language in us. This is unacceptable. This is provocation”, the Bulgarian minister has stressed.
According to him, the history of today's Macedonia is in common with Bulgaria's until 1944, so it has also looked annexes in the good neighbourly agreement for the Macedonian side to accept it as fact.
