Berisha has said on T7 television that “for the first time, the problem of partitioning Kosovo I heard in 1992”.

He has recalled that Greece, then led by Prime Minister Konstantinos Mitsotakis, has had plans to tear Kosovo apart.
The plan for partitioning Kosovo has been revived in 2005, the former Albanian leader has indicated.
Berisha has said in T7 that Kosovo's fragmentation was spoken of that year in Thessaloniki at a meeting of Balkan leaders, less than a month after he became Albania's prime minister.
