The long - standing climate between Albanians and Greeks is cold. Recently, there was a collision between them in New York City.
A group of Albanians had gathered to protest in the 40 days of the assassination of extremist Konstantin Katsifas in Bularat in Gjirokastra.
They have been clothed with national red and black symbols as they gathered in front of the offices of a Greek organisation in Brooklyn.
Albanians carried banners that read “Epirus is Albania!”, while accusing Greece of supporting terrorism, because after the pre-militar's murder of “Golden Agim”, four Albanians have been executed in the neighbouring state.
That's enough to start a clash between this group of protesters and a Greek group.
Police intervention has been necessary to establish order.
