It's said that happiness is a vague feeling, but psychologists don't agree with this findings. According to them, people know what makes them happy and sad. Sometimes we feel bad because of what we do in our daily lives. Brighton Side tells us what we should avoid in our lives to be happy:
Staying down all the time
Today, sitting down has become commonplace. We drive, we drive public transportation, we sit at home watching TV. Most of our time, then, is reduced, and this affects our happiness. What we suggest is that you walk 30 minutes and exercise twice a week.
Stay Only in Closed Environments
We all know that working from home does not contribute to happiness. However, other places such as restaurants, cinemas, generally places that we like do not make our lives happier. What you need to do is visit unknown places, as this will make you happy. Psychologists call it “an adventure therapy”.
We don't care what happens next.
Sometimes the way we do things is more important. For example: We have two girls. One is upset because she must clean the house: she would rather be at a dinner in a fancy restaurant, but nobody invited her. And the other girl is cleaning her house and is happy that she has finally found some time to clean up, according to the magazine class. In the first instance, the girl feels tired, while in the second case, her daughter feels more relaxed. We must live in the present and not let our fears and desires disturb our memories and awareness.
We isolate ourselves from others
Even if you're an individual, you need to be part of a group. And this group has more to do with our close friends and family. If you want to be truly happy, you must be in contact with people. According to recent studies, this helps us to overcome disease, reduce stress levels, and make us feel safer. And no matter what group you belong to: it could be a football club, a game club, anything. You just have to feel like you belong to something.
