The court ruled that he is guilty, for leading a criminal organisation that smuggled 5.7 tonnes of cocaine, from South America to Europe, during 2008 and 2009.
Other members of the gang were sentenced to several months to 15 years in prison. In 2015, 49 - year - old Sariq was sentenced to 20 years in prison, but the decision was turned into retrial.
Sariq has declared himself innocent.
He has been on the run since 2010, but surrendered to Serbian police in March 2014.
