The Vetevendosje movement estimates MPs are blackmailed and pressured by the Government and the President, so they have no courage to act in defense of territory and sovereignty.
In this party consider that if President Hashim Thaci does not stop as far as dialogue is concerned with Serbia, then demonstrations are inevitable.
MP Albulen Haxhiu has said that their actions face the president's issue in talks with Serbia will intensify depending on the circumstances.
Haxhiu: If Thaci doesn't stop, demonstrations are inevitable
“We like Vetevendosje consider that, given the fact that the Parliament's deputies are under constant pressure from the government and the president, they are blackmailed, certainly not having the courage to act in defense of the country's territory and sovereignty. Therefore, at least one point of the resolution has not yet been voted, which is in fact due to the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and has to do with halting sovereignty and territorial integrity. Our actions will be intensified depending on the circumstances, if we see Hashim Thaci not stopping in this direction, of course we will. If Hashim Thaci does not stop, the protests and demonstrations are inevitable and” are necessary, she said.
That response, Haxhiu presented it to reporters at the conference called by the Vetevendosje Movement, regarding the legal package for public administration, including the public sector wage bill.
She said that in this bill it is seen that the government has attempted to privilege individuals, itself and MPs, but not other categories receiving small salaries.
Haxhiu: If MPs are missing in session or commissions, clear percentage of their salary
The extension gap for MPs and the proposal that in case of lack of hearings or commissions be removed percentages from wages. Special extensions to civil servants in the institutions of justice, you know there are after a strike of justice institutions, their concerns have not been addressed to the wage bill, and also specific additions to the corrective service in the salary appendix, and we have proposed an amendment dealing with firefighters. The increase in their cofficiency and special additions due to the risk at work”, she said.
As Fatmire Kolqaku spoke about the health situation in the country, where he said the newly graduated doctors are leaving because their contribution here has been underestimated.
Column: Kosovo citizens' flight is under way
“One of the main topics, for months, was the topic of visa liberalisation, which is already known will not happen for most citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. What is currently happening is a silent liberalisation which is enabling brain drain from Kosovo. As for the health sector, most doctors, let me not tell you that each new graduate who performed the medical faculty, follows German language courses and plans to leave Kosovo. And that's sad, this is happening because years of doctor's contribution to Kosovo has been underestimated”, she said.
Arberie Nagavci said the salary bill increases inequality among public workers.
Nagavci: Salaries Bill Increases Inequalities Among Workers
“In the way it was approved and brought by the government to parliament, it only creates even greater confusion and increases in inequality, among various public workers, favouring small groups of government and governments and bringing a large number of public servants into very important sectors, such as the justice, health and education sector”, she said.
It also said that with the bill on salaries in the public sector, the president's salary amounts to 17 times the minimum wage -- 15 times the prime minister's salary -- and MP's salary 12 times larger than the minimum
