Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, within the framework of an official visit to the United States, has held a series of meetings with various senators and congressmen, with whom he has discussed issues of common interest in both countries.
Thaci has met with Senator Ron Johnson, with whom he has talked about the possibilities of deepening co-operation.
President Thaci has praised these meetings as the unique support of all US institutions for reaching an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, ensuring mutual recognition and Kosovo's membership in NATO, the EU and the UN.
The head of the country has also met with Democrat senators Gary C. Peters and Robert Menandez, with whom he talked about Kosovo- USA.
The republican senators and Democrats are united around Kosovo and strongly support Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic perspective and the necessity for reaching an agreement with Serbia”, President Thaci has said.
While in the United States, President Thaci has also held a meeting with the great friend of Kosovo, American congregator Eliot Engel.

Likewise, President Thaci has also met with Senator Joni Ernst, with whom he has talked about transforming the Security Force and the necessity of reaching an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.
The country's first one said after meeting with Senator Iowa that “co-operation between our states best testifies to the strong link between our two peoples”.
Regarding the transformation of the KSF and dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, President Thaci has also talked at the meeting held with Republican Senator Marco Rubio.
“We talked about the possibility of deepening bilateral co-operation, transforming KSF, Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic perspective, as well as exploiting the moment for reaching an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, which ensures Kosovo's membership in NATO, the EU and the UN. In all these issues, Kosovo has full support, both of the republics and of the Democrats”, President Thaci has said.
At the beginning of this visit, the head of state has also met with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, as well as with John Bolton, US President Donald Trump's National Security Adviser. /kp/
