The story of the condom; do you know in what circumstances it was born?

Preservative is one of the world's best - known and popular sex tools. Most individuals can readily recognize one. The story of rubber/condom invention is old and involves failures, trials and many children. The first trial took place at least 2000 years ago. A golden and silver condom was produced in what we now know as Turkey.

But the true history of condoms begins in the year 1400 when France invades Italy and faces a syphilis epidemic for the first time. In return, troops distributed the disease throughout Europe.
