Belgrade's Politika newspaper writes today that “representatives of the KLA war crimes tribunal on 21 December visit Serbian lawyers elected for proceedings before this institution of justice”,contacts Koha.net.
As this paper writes, the visit will last two days and the Court will represent the head of the Office for Victims Silkes Stuzinski and Defence Service co-ordinator David Hahn.
Serbia's Oda Chairman of Lawyers Viktor Gostiljac and one of the elected lawyers has told “Politika” that the organisation of this meeting has been necessary.
The “the lawyers who will engage in the Court for the KLA generally know little about this justice institution. We still have no information on when this court will start working, how it will work, and what are the terms of our commitment. I believe the meeting will be constructive, and it will benefit everyone. I also believe that after the meeting I will have a much clearer mirror on some issues that currently have no answers to”, Gostiljac said, Time.net broadcasts.
In the work of the Special Court (Serbian media call the KLA Court for Crimes), 30 lawyers from Serbia attend the quality of defenders and representatives.
They will engage in the process initiated for long and post-war crimes in Kosovo and dealing with the Parliamentary Assembly report.
