The study has analyzed 143 students over three weeks.
Students are divided into two groups: one group has continued using social networks as they have commonly used them; the other group has been restricted to using social networks in 10 minutes per day, broadcasting Telegrafi.
From this experiment, researchers found that the group that has restricted the use of social networks had reported visible reductions in depressive symptoms.
And I felt more positive about myself during these weeks”, one of the student participants said.
Although other studies have found connections between social networks and mental health problems, this study states that it is the first to discover a clear link between reducing social networking and improving feelings of loneliness and depression.
