Sleep deprivation causes the body to produce more cortisol, the hormone responsible for the stress added to hunger. But sleeping for many hours is also bad for our health. According to a recent study published in PLOS One magazine, sleeping for more than 10 hours a night can lead to higher body mass index. Doctors recommend that you sleep 7-8 hours.
