Serbia does not get angry over Thaci's country in Paris, door without knocking to ask how that happened

In Serbia they are still dealing with the ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I that was held Sunday in Paris. Aleksandar Vucic in a corner of the ceremony, meanwhile Kosovo President Hashim Thaci at the main part of the world leaders Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Chepurin, said that level co-operation [...]

Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Chepurin said the two countries' high-level co-operation was unprecedented and noted that Moscow is determined to resolve Kosovo's problem politically in dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina without setting deadlines.

Solving Kosovo's problem is only possible provided Serbia and Serbs accept it. It is important that this be a compromise, not a foreign - imposed solution. Our position was the same as before, remains so now and will be the same in the future, Chepurin told RTS.

Chepurin, speaking of the meeting held between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci in Paris, said that at such ceremonies, there are tens and dozens of opportunities for contact with world leaders, but do not consider it important, Serbian media report, the newspaperetro.net submits.

Poutin is a kind man. He greeted the hundreds he met, exchanging words with them. Second, Putin was there as a guest. We know that Serbia, Russia and France were the key countries of World War I. But this ceremony was organised by the French and they invited those who thought they should be invited, including the representative of a state like Kosovo- said Chepurin.

This meeting says the Russian ambassador was just a coincidence, nothing more.

The problem, he says, is that representatives of unknown states “require specific reasons” for such events involving senior guests and their “behavior sometimes creates serious problems”.

Asked how he felt like a Russian ambassador to Serbia, seeing Thaci at the important ceremony marking the November 11th Great War in Paris sit right behind Putin, says it was undoubtedly completely unfair and wrong, but that was a question for organisers.

Chepurin also spoke of the Russian president's visit to Serbia in January, saying the exact date has not yet been officially announced for various reasons, but will be in mid-January.

When it comes to Kosovo, Chepurin stressed that Russia's position is very clear and that it has been confirmed several times, but that someone always tries to suspect it.

Russia's position has not changed, and the following: we accept that the problem will be resolved politically under dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. That's the first thing the ambassador said.
