Each couple has several things in common, but those couples who have been together for years seem almost like sisters and brothers.
Brighton Side shows five scientificly proven reasons why couples after many years of marriage or dating start to resemble each other.
They look like parents.
Men are said to choose partners with their mother's characteristics. Scientists have confirmed that people choose a mate, or partner, that resembles a mother or a father. So if you're a girl you've chosen a man of life with your father's traits. And if you're a boy, you've chosen your girlfriend with the same traits as your mother.
One noteworthy detail is that if you were born when your parents were not very young, then you are inclined to seek a partner greater than yourself.
The Years Together
Robert Zianc, an American psychologist, has compared pictures of couples on wedding day and 25 years later. In his study, he concluded that the wife and husband if they did not have physical similarities, after 25 years they looked the same.
Another interesting fact is that if couples have a long and happy marriage, their similarities increase.
Sharing Experiences
Another reason why you start to look like your partner has to do with the experiences you're going through.
During one couple's life, there are difficult, happy times together. Everything they spend together affects the body language, and they begin to do the same.
Pull it from people like you

According to studies, we withdraw from people who share our traits. If you end up with a man who looks so much like you, your child will get the best of both of you.
each other's mirror
Couples in one mind reflect each other's customs even in the language of the body.

Scientists say partners tend to change habits throughout their married lives. For example, if one person is trying to quit smoking and eating healthy, the other is trying to do the same.
