During his report, Lekaj has stated there was no information or warning about the expulsion of Turkish citizens. “MPB is responsible for aviation and the risk of terrorism.
I can say that as a minister other than what I said, we have no information, no knowledge, and we don't have anything to do with security, and who's on the plane is a separate case”, Lekaj said.
He stressed that we found that everything was based on law and proper regulation.
The company has misused flight and we will act accordingly. Request has been for private flight, not state because there are other procedures depending on the flight you want to make. No department, no state official is responsible for speaking with me, and we have not been aware of further actions”, Lekaj said.
Lekaj stressed that we should have accurate record from MPB regarding the case.
We need to get exact data from MPB, and we still don't have it, that we have to get for misusing the airline. We know it's misappreciated, but when we take action to condemn, there should be evidence from MPB that this company is on this day misusing and infiltrated citizens without the knowledge of the relevant ministry and departments. On 25 April we have officially requested evidence of misuse, or abundant information to take further action. We have no report, and if we have information from the department in question that someone has violated the procedures and broken the rules, we will react to”, Lekaj said.
The Commission will also interview former Civil Aviation Department Director Ismail Berisha's chief of duty, Air Navigation Services Director Bahri Nuredini, and Kosovo Intelligence Agency General Inspector Birzen Soopjan.
