The 16-day campaign of activism is organised annually. It begins on November 25th and ends on December 10th, on Human Rights Day.
Each year through the campaign, global action is called for raising awareness of the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls.
The symbol of the campaign is the white procession, while the official color of the campaign is orange that symbolizes a bright future and a world free of violence against women. Otherwise, the initiative is supported by the financial funds of Swedish AIDS.
