Marked the birthday of the hero Zahir Pajaziti

Zahir Pajazit was born on November 1, 1962, in the village of Turuqica in Podujevo, as he witnessed on January 31, 1997, in Pestovo, Vushtrri. Hero was one of the founders of the KLA and the witnesses of the Kosovo war.

He was killed along with Hakif Zeynep and Edmund Hoxha. Zahir Pajaziti was one of the most prominent commanders of the Kosovo Liberation Army. On January 31, 2008, on the 11th anniversary of the fall, former Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu awarded Zahir Pajazit Kosovo's highest state decoration, the Hero Order of Kosovo.

To mark this date today, the founding assembly of the civic organisation “Gurilja Zahir Pajaziti” will be held, the council consisting of former members of the 1991-era guerrilla 1997, families of heroes part of guerrillas, collaborators and citizens.

The event is initially held at 5 o'clock at the Albanological Institute hall in Pristina.
