Iranian leader Ayatolah Khamenei said American President Donald Trump's policies are facing opposition from around the world.
Washington is preparing to return sanctions on Iran for oil exports and the financial and energy sector.
Supreme leader Ayatolah Ali Khamenei said the US has failed to extend dominance in Iran since the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
“Bota is opposing any decision of the Trump”, Khamenei said on public television.
The US's “goal has been to restore the impact it had before 1979, but has failed”.
Washington on Monday will reverse sanctions on Iran, put pressure on the Islamic Republic for negotiations on nuclear energy and nuclear weapons programme, and end support to groups in the Middle East wars.
