John Bolton: It is time for Serbia and Kosovo to reach agreement

The National Security Adviser of the United States, John Bolton, called on Kosovo and Serbia to seize the opportunity to resolve their long-standing disputes and move towards membership in the European Union.

“Now is the time for Kosovo and Serbia to reach agreement”, Bolton wrote on Twitter, after meeting with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci at the White House.

The United States is ready to help both sides achieve this historic goal”, he added.

Thaci also expressed optimism after the meeting, thanking Bolton for, as he said, “the full support Kosovo has encountered in this administration”.

We found that there is a historic chance in dialogue (v.j. Between Kosovo and Serbia), which should not be lost by the two states. This enables Kosovo NATO membership, the United Nations and the European Union”, Thaci wrote on Twitter. /
