Quitting cigarette requires iron will. But how long will it take for the body to recover after quitting? One study says that 15 years must be spent by giving up cigarettes to reduce the risk of heart disease.
Prosecution studies suggested that the risk stabilizes within five years, but new research has shown that this time may be longer.
About 8700 people are involved in the study at a 50-year time. Scientists found that it takes more than 10 years for the heart to be normalized by nicotine damage and other chemicals.
