Cellulite is the result of the subterranean fat that extends to dermis, the skin layer under the epiderme (outdoor bone).
Inside dermis is a network of connective tissue that looks like a honey and as fat cells grow in size, the binding tissue within this layer becomes weakened and fat swells through, giving the skin a thin or swollen view, says Len Cravitz, Ph.D., a student of training at New Mexico University in Albique.
The amount of body fat, the distribution of fat (which is influenced by genetics), the thickness of the skin, and the power of the strands are factors that contribute to the cell.
According to a Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy study, almost 85 percent of women over the age of 20 have cellulite, while according to the American Association for Aesthetic Pharmetic Surgery, only 10 percent of males have it.
There is limited evidence to support claims that creams, medications, or current liquidations eliminate the cell once and for all.
As for a procedure with an FDA-admitted laser, Cellulaze ʹ which aims to level piles and bumps while stimulating collagen production to increase the flexibility and thickness of the skin by more than 25 percent ʹ long - term effects still have to be fully recognized (and short procedure costs between 2,000 and $10,000 depending on the size of the treated area).
And in an eight-week study conducted by researchers at the YMCA South Shore in Quincy, MA, found that combining a healthy diet of heart, low protein, fruits, vegetables and 40-minute exercise three times a week (most cardio) can have a major impact on reducing cellulite, especially in the thigh area.
