Inspired by today's royal wedding and with a little research, we realized that royal weddings have always had magnificent dresses. But with conviction we say that these have been the most beautiful and special of the last century:
1947: Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip
He was the designer Norman Hartnelli who had the fortune to design Queen Elizabeth's dress. This dress was inspired by Botticelli's painting “Primavera”. It is created with silk from China and symbolizes “achievement and rebirth”. Above all, 350 women worked for him for seven weeks.


1956: Grace Kelly and Prince Rainer of Monaco
At her wedding, Grace Kelly wore a dress from Helen Rose, which had been the designer and in movies where Grace had participated, “High Society” and “The Swan”. The dress was created by a 100-year-old lace and 91m silk net. Her dress inspired the latter ones of Kate Midletton, Kim Kardashian and Ivanka Trump.


1960: Fabiola de Mora y Aragon and Belgium's Baudouin King
Queen Fabiola, before she got married was a nurse. She's wearing a dress designed by the founder of Balenciaga, Cristobol Balenciaga. Right now, this dress is in the fashion house museum in Spain.


1978: Lisa Najeed Halaby and King Hussein of Jordan
Lisa graduated from architecture at Princeton University. She wore a dress from Dior, designed by Mark Bohan. This dress was mostly noted for its special sleeves and numerous details of the lace.


1981: Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer
Some 750 million people attended her famous wedding. Designed by David and Elizabeth Emmanuel, the silk dress used handmade laces that once belonged to Queen Mary. Another detail is the 10,000 pearls it contained.


1995: Marie-Chantal Miller and Pavlos, Prince of Greece
Four months, 12 kinds of laces and 25 people worked on creating Marie-Chantal Miller's dress. Creation “Valentino” cost $222.5.


2003: Belgium's Prince Laurent and Clair Coombs
It was Edouard Vermeulen of the Belgian branding “Natan” who created her dress. With her shoulders uncovered, her decolate was decorated with details of laces.


2011: Jigme Khessar Namgyel Wangchuck and Jetsun Tree
She was only 21 when she became queen and therefore the youngest queen. She wore a “Kira”- the traditional dress of Butanese women- which was filled with bright colors.


2012: Stephanie de Lannoy and Luxembourg Prince Guillaume
A wedding of 500 grand! The Belgian Duchess Stephanie wore a dress by Elie Saab, with a tricerc sleeve and a “bish <x1m> 4m.
