Among the benefits of breast - feeding are reducing the risk of mothers contracting breast cancer. All those mothers who breast - feeding their child for five months risk 2% less to be touched by this cancer link.
This is what comes out of an American study conducted by American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR), with the week of breast-feeding, which corresponds to the first week of August.
To reach that conclusion, researchers analyzed 18 previous studies.
The study suggests, among other things, that breast - fed babies are less likely to gain excessive weight during their growth, in relation to those who feed on artificial milk and who are obese, who risk 11 percent more to be affected by the most common tumors, writes Noa.al.
It's not always possible for mothers to breastfeed, but when they can, it's important to know that this process protects them from breast cancer, even their child”, says study director Alice Bender. /noa.al
