Jean Paul Gaulier has decided to stop using animal fur in his clothing collection.
The famous stylist made known his decision - live on French television.
Gaullier said that it was sad how animals were tortured and killed only to pick up their fur.
The designer's decision came after a long pressure made by the animal protection organisation (PETA).
Following Goultier's decision, director of “PETA” said this is a sign that times are changing, since most people no longer want to wear anything with the skin or fur of animals that have been cruelly held in cages or caught and killed in traps.
Meanwhile, other fashion houses such as “Gucci”, “Arman”, “Michael Cors” and others have previously abandoned the use of animal skin.
