The Lakkatha Centre is about 462m high and is currently considered the highest building in the north of the globe.
Built on a fountain complex in Russia's St. Petersburg, the building consists of 87 floors.
It is expected to serve as the central office for Gazprom fuel company.
Until, the offices are expected to open in late 2019.
One of the architects of the building, Philip Nikandorv, said the tower would close at the end of the summer, even though there's still work to be done inside.
Otherwise, the shape of the tower symbolizes the fire, which is also the feature of Gazprom's logo.
