Much of the budget for many Albanians occupys food expenses. Asked by ABC News, many citizens say most of their income is spent on food products.
I'm retired. Those with children think of other things, education. We elders also think of health”, an elderly man said.
For food, sure. She's the head and a little bit for clothes, said one citizen.
But we have another category, mostly young people who spend more on clothing and entertainment.

Regarding the expenses and consumption of Albanian citizens, businessmen also say, who stress that expenses are mainly for food products.

According to INSTAT's data, the total monthly cost of about 770 thousand households was $156.5 billion per month, or $678 billion a year, in a survey of the Family Budget in 2017. Much of this spending, about 44% goes to feed. After food, INSTAT data lists expenses for clothing, apartment, water and electricity, with 10.9% of total or 550m euros.
