According to Chamber of Commerce and Industry head (DHTI) in Tirana, Nikolin Jaka, governments on both sides of the border have replaced the customs union with private taxes coming from concessions. From an analysis the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tirana has made trade circulation with Kosovo and vice versa for trucks carrying goods worth between 1,000 and 20,000 euros, only costs from private concession fees without including customs duties ( TV US plus other taxes) totals 280 euros per truck.
This value includes the 45-euro tariffs that trucks pay at the National Road pay station, the scanning fee in Albania's customs, the customs terminal fee in Kosovo, and other costs from bureaucratic procedures.
