Political developments in Kosovo, particularly the process of dialogue with Serbia, were the topics of the meeting held at the Social Democrat Party headquarters in Pristina.
While the Finnish ambassador expressed its concerns over the lack of political spectrum consensus for dialogue, President Ahmeti announced it on the PSD proposal for the common platform of all political subjects represented in the Republic Assembly.
PSD leader underlined that President Hashim Thaci has no legislation to bear the process of dialogue with Serbia, and that this responsibility belongs to the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
Thanks to the help over the years of the Finnish state for Kosovo, Shpend Ahmeti called for formal Helsinki's support for visa liberalisation of citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. The Social Democrat Party chairman also announced the Finnish ambassador on the main political, economic and social principles of the Social Democrat Party; as well as its structural and organisational consolidation.
Ambassador Pia Sterinvall stressed the importance of Kosovo's co-operation with Finland and its readiness to contribute to developing further bilateral relations.
