AAK Deputy Minister's son employs his father's ministry

His new colleague is not someone he doesn't know. It's his son. Democratic Selimaj has been chosen a successful candidate in the official's position for economic adjustment.

Idriz Selimaj, who comes from the AAK ranks, has confirmed that his son has been employed by the ministry where he is deputy minister. This minister is led by Paul Lekaj, who is part of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo.

The result for the successful candidate has been published during yesterday's day, where Democratic Selimaj has been most committed against his candidate. His employment was reported to KALLXO.com.

The deputy minister says he has nothing to do with his competition, even claiming he has not had his consent to compete in the job.

Yeah, Democrat is my son. But I'm absolutely not done with that job, it's his right. He has not even had my consent to adjourn, since he is soon signing the doctor's office in Tirana. He's big, he's 27 years old. He lives in Pristina, me in Suhareka”, Idriz Selimaj said.

Asked whether he describes this as a conflict of interest, the fact that he holds important political position in the ministry, and at this time his son, deputy minister, is employed, says it is his right to seek employment.

I don't think it's a conflict of interest, because he's got the case with the deputy parent, otherwise I'm not even interested in this job. It is his right to work, he is a son of 10, he has no 9, so he should neither advise nor deny his job right”, Deputy Prime Minister Selimaj said among other things.

He says that it has been a challenge for him to say that he is mistaking in a written and oral interview. He shows that his son's performance was announced by the review panel.

It's just been a challenge, don't by chance my son's getting along on a written or oral test, then it's a bad feeling, otherwise when I found out he did well by the interview panel, I felt good. If he had listened to me, there was no application at all that he is not some kind of position, and he has the greatest ambition”, Democratic Father Selimaj said further.
