About 36 thousand Albanian voters, at 55 Presevo seats -- Medvedja's Bujanovac -- had the chance to vote their candidates for the National Albanian Council Assembly.
Five political parties and a civic grouping competed in this election for the fifteen seats of this Parliament, which under the law for Serbia's national minorities, has competencies in education, culture, information, use of language and writing and national symbols.
Under election rules, all the polls were opened in time, and except for the number 16 deployment in the village of Hashan, the lack of a controlling sheet in the opening of the voting box has been recorded, while everything has gone well afterwards.
By the evening hours in Presevo and Bujanoc, citizen rights have exploited about 30% of citizens on voter lists.
According to information from the ground, even in Medvedja the election process passed without significant problems. To vote, organised by Kosovo, two buses with voters came, while as reported in terms of the percentage, the exit in this municipality totals about 30 % of registered voters.
Citizens who exploited their legal right have their expectations to improve the lives of Albanians in this region.
The polling was open until 20, while the first preliminary results are expected about late evening hours. Today's elections are being monitored by representatives of several embassies of European Union states accredited in Belgrade, including the US Embassy and that of the Republic of Albania.
