Kosovo Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselini says he has received Germany's support for visa liberalisation and that this state will give a positive assessment of Kosovo for the further steps to be taken in the process.
Wessel has met with his German counterpart, Wolfgang Schauble. According to a media report, Wessel has thanked the German side for the support it has given for Kosovo in all processes.
“Chairman Veselini stressed that the support of official Berlin for Kosovo in future processes is of particular importance, both in terms of Euro-Atlantic travel and economic development through German investments in Kosovo. Wessel said Kosovo and Germany, like two friendly countries, have already consolidated their co-operation in many spheres, but stressed the need for these relations to expand and strengthen even further”, the report said.
“We have Germany's support for visa liberalisation for Kosovo. Germany is Kosovo's biggest supporter and supporter among European Union countries. We're lucky to have partners like that. Even at the meeting with German Bundestag chairman, a major supporter of Kosovo's freedom, I requested Germany's even greater presence in Kosovo. I suggested that one of the German republics be directly involved in travelling in our judicial and economic reforms”, Wessel stressed after meeting with the German counterpart.
